What This Website Stores
Nothing on your device. There are no user accounts, no sign-in and no cookies. Font and video are served from our own server and no third-party content is embedded.
Access and Hosting
The website is provided by Vercel Inc. (USA) and delivered via servers in Europe. When you access it, Vercel processes technically necessary connection data in server logs: IP address, date and time, requested address, browser type. This is required for secure and stable operation. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR including the EU standard contractual clauses is in place with Vercel.
Audience Measurement
To understand how the site is used, I use PostHog in its EU variant (hosted at AWS in Frankfurt am Main). Measurement is cookieless: nothing is stored on your device to recognise visits. PostHog derives a key from IP address and browser signature that is valid for one day only; the IP address itself is discarded. Collected are pages viewed, clicks on buttons and links, how long a page stayed open and how far you scrolled, plus device properties such as screen size, browser and operating system. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in a working service under Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Data is deleted after twelve months. The processor is PostHog Inc. (USA) under an Art. 28 GDPR agreement including the EU standard contractual clauses.
Contact by Email
If you write to me, I process your email address and the content of your message to answer your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) or (f) GDPR. Messages are kept as long as needed to handle the request.
Feedback Form
The button “Open the feedback form” leads to a form hosted by PostHog (eu.posthog.com). What you enter there is transmitted, together with the note that you came from this website. The legal basis is consent under Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR, given when you submit. Please do not enter personal data in the free-text fields.
Your Rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and to withdraw consent. Complaints can be lodged with any data protection authority; the competent authority is the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.
